DMD Annual Charity Golf Day raises a record-breaking £32,000 for local charities

(26.05.23) Norwich-based business DMD raised an incredible £32,000 at their annual charity golf day for local charities, Priscilla Bacon Hospice, East Anglian Children’s Hospices, and Norwich City Community Sports Foundation.

This year marks DMD’s 7^th year hosting the event at Sprowston Manor, and the response and support shown by over 100 local businesses and 200 golfers from across the county for the deserving charities this year has been even more phenomenal than last year, as last year’s fundraising efforts was exceeded by £9,500.

Making the day even more special, DMD raising £32,000 means they are the first Platinum members of the Priscilla Bacon Hospice 500 Club to raise their £10,000 pledge for the new hospice.

Amy Bramble, Community Fundraising and Marketing Manager commented, “Priscilla Bacon Hospice is thrilled to have our first Platinum member reach their £10,000 pledge. The support DMD has shown to us is incredible and we are so grateful to them and every single attendee of the DMD Golf Day”.

With local businesses such as Luca Pizza, Coffeesmiths, and WhataHoot Gin set up on the course to keep the golfers going during the day. The day and evening auctions and raffles were supported by generous donations from local businesses across Norfolk, including Woodforde’s Brewery, Norwich Porche Centre, Berry Hall Farm Retreat, MHGoals, Norfolk Premier Golf, and hundreds more.

Dean Peruzzi, Founder and Managing Director of DMD comments, “Over the years our charity golf day has raised incredible sums of money for our chosen charities, and this year we had the pleasure of adding another charity to our efforts, Priscilla Bacon Hospice.
